Terms of Use for Influencers

Introduction

These Terms of Use govern your participation as an influencer using the TechTok Connect platform. By submitting your TikTok channel and related information through our extension, you agree to the terms outlined below.
TechTok Connect acts as an intermediary platform, enabling influencers to voluntarily apply for marketing campaigns provided by verified brands. Submissions are optional, non-binding, and intended solely for the purpose of allowing brands to evaluate your suitability for a campaign.

You are not entering into a paid agreement with TechTok Connect by submitting your data. Any collaboration or agreement resulting from a campaign submission is solely between you and the respective brand.


Eligibility

To use TechTok Connect as an influencer, you must meet the following conditions:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have reached the age of majority in your country of residence.
  • You are legally permitted to operate as a commercial content creator, including the right to enter into brand partnerships and paid collaborations.
  • You are the rightful owner of the TikTok channel you submit and have full rights to its data and content.
  • All submitted information must be accurate, up to date, and reflect your actual account and performance metrics.
  • You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

TechTok Connect reserves the right to deny or revoke access to the platform in cases of suspected fraud, false submissions, or any breach of these Terms.


Data Submission and Use

As a registered influencer using TechTok Connect, you may gain access to publicly available brand campaign data, including campaign descriptions, requirements, and submission criteria.

  • This information is provided solely for the purpose of evaluating and applying to brand campaigns via TechTok Connect.
  • Influencers are permitted to promote TechTok Connect and showcase its user interface (e.g., through social media content, tutorials, or reviews), including visual elements of the platform.
  • However, any use, reproduction, or disclosure of brand-specific campaign data (such as campaign texts, briefs, or requirements) for purposes other than platform promotion is strictly prohibited.
  • Under no circumstances may influencer-accessible campaign information be used for independent brand contact, third-party offers, resale, or advertising purposes.

Any unauthorized use of brand data beyond platform promotion will be considered misuse and result in a contractual penalty of $1,000 per affected campaign, in addition to potential legal consequences.


Platform Conduct

By participating in TechTok Connect, you agree to use the platform in a respectful, honest, and lawful manner. The following conduct guidelines apply:

  • You must not impersonate other individuals, brands, or influencers.
  • You must not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information during campaign applications.
  • You may not attempt to circumvent, manipulate, or abuse any validation or submission restrictions imposed by the platform.
  • You must not engage in any activity that may harm the platform’s reputation, infrastructure, or other users.
  • Automated tools, bots, or scraping techniques are strictly prohibited.
  • Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior toward other users or the TechTok Connect team will not be tolerated.

Violations of these rules may result in account suspension, permanent exclusion from the platform, and potential legal action.


Data Handling and Confidentiality

When you submit your campaign application via the TechTok Connect extension, certain data fields will be collected and securely transmitted to the respective brand for review and potential collaboration. The exact data being submitted is transparently listed in the submission overlay prior to confirmation.

All personal and campaign-relevant data submitted by you will:

  • Only be shared with the brand to which you are applying.
  • Be used solely for the purposes of reviewing your application and initiating potential collaboration.
  • Never be sold or passed on to third parties for advertising or profiling purposes.

Brands using TechTok Connect are contractually obligated to respect the confidentiality of your data. Any misuse of your data by a brand — including selling, distributing, or using it for purposes beyond influencer outreach — will result in a contractual penalty of $2,000 per influencer dataset misused.

You are encouraged to notify TechTok Connect immediately if you suspect misuse or unauthorized contact beyond the agreed purposes.


Termination

You may stop using the TechTok Connect platform at any time without notice. If you wish to have your submitted data deleted from our systems and/or Google Sheets, you may request this by contacting us at info@techtok-connect.com. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within a reasonable time frame in accordance with our Privacy Policy and data retention obligations.

TechTok Connect reserves the right to revoke your access to the platform, temporarily or permanently, if:

  • You violate these Terms of Use.
  • You misuse the platform or brand campaign data.
  • You submit false or misleading information.

In cases of misuse or violation, TechTok Connect may take legal action and issue penalties in accordance with Section 5 and 6.

TechTok Connect is solely responsible for the secure provision and management of the campaign-specific Google Sheets to which brands are granted read-only access. Any duplication, export, or redistribution of influencer data by the brand beyond the provided sheet lies outside the responsibility of TechTok Connect.

However, should an influencer have reason to believe that a specific brand has misused their submitted data, they may contact us directly and provide the name(s) of the relevant campaign(s). We will promptly reach out to the respective brand(s) to address the concern.


Final Provisions


These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Should any provision of these Terms be or become invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that comes as close as possible to the economic intent of the original.

TechTok Connect reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time. Influencers will be informed of material changes via the extension interface or the official TechTok Connect website. Continued use of the platform after changes have been communicated constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

For all disputes arising from or in connection with the use of the platform, the place of jurisdiction is, to the extent permitted by law, Berlin, Germany.
